Why do we like this?

Flashback Friday! I asked on Twitter whether anyone had any suggestions, and a lovely girl reminded me of the amazingness that is Death Cab For Cutie. But where to start? Which song to choose?

Well, the options are varied: they range from moody and acoustic to upbeat and fun. With each listen a hundred High School memories came flooding back, but in the end I had to settle for "Tiny Vessels," off the 2003 album Transatlanticism. It's a super emo song as far as the lyrics are concerned, but for me, music has always been more about the melody than the words. In this, Ben Gibbard & team win on all accounts.

Hopefully this song brings back some worthwhile memories!
