Why do we like this?

Day Wave is the alias of Oakland DIY artist Jackson Phillips. Under the moniker, the talented musician offers up new tune "Total Zombie," giving a tiny taste of what he has in store for his debut EP.

"Total Zombie" is an awesome lo-fi pop number in the same vein of The Drums and Mac DeMarco. Phillips has a real knack for crafting catchy, upbeat tunes, and "Total Zombie" is immersed with a real summary vibe.

Day Wave is one to watch.
