Why do we like this?

A literal day after I slapped together a "Sounds Like" playlist for Unknown Mortal Orchestra, they release a cover of David Bowie that sounds like The Beatles.

Splendid. Well, if the band I'm sourcing similar songs for wants to sound like other bands, then maybe I should have made a playlist that sounds like UMO trying to sound like Bowie, sounding like the Beatles.
