Fauxe is an electronic artist from Singapore who has been focusing his musical attention on curating electronic beats and music for the past three years. He strives to "recreate the sounds that come out of my head," which tends to hover around the downtempo, electronic and chillwave genres. Ever since the release of his debut EP back in August 2012, Fauxe has been gaining impressive momentum.
As we all know, Daughter's "Youth" (as well as another favorite of ours, "Smother") has been quite the hit. We all fell in love with Elena Tonra's voice, track after track. Fauxe takes advantage of that popularity on his first track of 2013. "Youth" is now completely mellowed out, with an intimate, congressional introduction and subdued synthetic additives throughout.
Daughter's "Youth" has been transformed, but the emotional effect the lyrics radiate remains in tact. This remix is layered, echoed and manages to play around with incorporating the goodness of purely electronic percussion and backdrop accents with organic vocals and ambient guitar picking.
