Why do we like this?
Sound Remedy has a knack for Sunday releases, which is fine by me as the internet is normally pretty quiet over the weekend. And this Sunday release happens to be insanely good: a remix of Daughter's "Medicine."
The original comes off her debut album If You Leave, which will be released March 18th via 4AD. I've given her new material a couple listens, often finding it to be a bit of a downer (albeit beautiful). Perhaps it's a drink best served alone in one's bedroom?
In light of that, I find this remix to be extra nice -- it brings layering and life to an otherwise intense song, all while maintaining the stunning beauty that is Daughter.
