Why do we like this?
Daughter makes absolutely beautiful music. The minimalist elements and beautiful vocals lead excellently to the remix realm, as has been demonstrated by the likes of Allen Farben, Fauxe, Philipp Schneider, and even Sound Remedy.
Now joining the aforementioned posse is Swiss-based Pablo Nouvelle, who we featured just earlier this month on Indie Shuffle. The net result is a predictably excellent listen.
Unfortunately, Daughter's music doesn't quite translate to the live stage just yet. I had a chance to catch their performance at Primavera Sound, and I have a feeling lead singer Elena Tonra was a little too nervous to put on a good show.
For now, it seems these songs are best enjoyed in a digital format (or perhaps a small club).
