Why do we like this?

DARKSIDE is a side project from Nicolas Jaar and the talented Dave Harrington.  Starting with an EP in 2011 and following up with their popular Random Access Memories Memories earlier this year, the duo is prepping to release their album Psychic on October 8 via Nicolas Jaar's new imprint Other People.

Returning to a very classic "Space Is Only Noise" sound, "Paper Trails" lumbers with the sort of experimental Western vibe that only Nicolas Jaar can produce.  With blusey guitar and Nico's heavy, apathetic sounding vocals, this track is exactly right to attract Nico fans.  Each instrument adds a subtle layer of mystery poaches from some undefined yesteryear, building to a stratification of perfect, beautiful noise.
