Why do we like this?

The title of this song couldn't be more appropriate: earlier this week, Darkside (Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington) announced that they were calling it quits.

Together, the duo have been responsible for some of my favorite house tracks -- particularly "Paper Trails" -- so to see them go is sad indeed. Fortunately, they coupled the announcement with two previously unheard songs (you can hear the second, slightly more experimental track "What They Say" here).

To be fair, it's not like either decided to fully terminate their music career, so there's still a good chance we'll be hearing more from them on a solo basis. Which will probably be just fine.
