Why do we like this?
UK electronic threesome Dark Sky has just released a B-side track to their most recent EP Black Rainbows, making a move from label Pictures Music to Black Acres.
When listening to Dark Sky's new single, the adjective that sticks in my mind is (to be completely plain) interesting. It's a playful track with influence from many different electronic genres, and experiments in a more earthy manner. Starting off slow and sporadic, "Tremor" is sort of primitive yet at the same time futuristic and clean. The styling of each element works, even if it comes off sparse in some areas; sometimes it's the most basic of sounds that are hard to pull off, which Dark Sky has done very well here. Whatever you feel about "Tremors," there's absolutely no denying that it's catchy.
