Why do we like this?
Check out this single from Darius and his mate Le Crayon. It's a sweet slow-mo sampling of Alicia Key's epic "Fallin" that came out back in April. Still sounds fresh though, a perfect pick me up for the impending winter. There's this great little funk groove behind the dreamy beats. It all ties together like a day rolling around in the snow.
Darius and Le Crayon are two French producers who create nu indie disco that makes you feel like you're floating. They draw on 90s classics, like "Never Ever Gonna Give You Up," to make tracks worth dancing to. I'm really digging Crayon's recently released Originals EP; the entire thing has very French bobo club scene feel. Other than this Alicia mix, I'm dying about this "Give You Up" remix -- it's worthy of a spot on Majestic Casual/Eton Messy. Listen to it now.
