There's a certain warmness to Dan Croll's sound that makes it perfect accompaniment to activities, such as watching the sunrise or sharing a home-cooked meal with family and friends. One of my favorite Indie Shuffle posts of all time is a delightful song that Dan did with Ladysmith Black Mambazo for Record Store Day a few years back (check it out here).
Dan’s previous album was a big step up from his first album in terms of production and boasted some true bangers, such as “Swim”. In the last couple of months, he has released some stellar singles. So far, these singles, which include titles like "Yesterday" and "Actor with a Loaded Gun," have been a happy medium between the simpler and more sentimental vibes of his debut album and the polished production and songwriting skills he has attained in years since. If these singles are any sign of things to come, there are some real good things to come.
