Why do we like this?
HARDER! Totally. Better..? Impossible. Stronger? Sure, but not really faster. Where exactly does Deadmau5's remix of the Daft Punk classic fall? Ultimately you'll be the judge, but my assessment is that it stands out as a unique track, barely reminscent of the original.
How? Well, the remix features a much more forceful bass-line, while easing off on the dancey house-factor the song became so famous for (that's not to say it doesn't take on an insanely dance-worthy life of its own). Specifically, I think it boils down to the numerous spaced-out interludes featured throughout the song, clear examples of Deadmau5 playing around at what he does best: teasing the audience before dropping a fat beat.
