Why do we like this?
I've watched and listened to D-WHY closely for the last couple of years. What first caught my attention was the homie's swagger and the undeniable verbal skills. After hearing his latest, titled "Young Madonna," I'm not only that much more excited for his upcoming Young, Loved, Hated, and Broke EP, but can truthfully say he's growing as an artist.
Those with a keen ear will almost immediately notice the CHVRCHES sample. Great choice and props to Dave Cappa on the production. There's a more mature sound with "Young Madonna" than on some of D's previous work, and the visuals are once again very impressive. Always fine work from our friends at The Cleanest Corner:
Check out our summer 2013 interview to learn more about Mr. David Morris, and catch him on tour now alongside fellow Hip-Hop artists Hoodie Allen, Mod Sun, and Moosh & Twist.
