A hip and evolving soul-funk track by CZ Wang and Neo Image give me immense 90's street bop vibes and I love it.
There is a great give and take in this track — narrative give overlayed by soulful hip hop and electro warps. It's a pure and well-designed collaboration that gives of a cooler new age Fresh Prince feeling, almost neo-classical in its reimagining.
I'm also not stating that this track is stuck in the past: if anything it's more modern than more tracks in its space, but it takes the past it's influenced by and resketches it for a new audience.
