Why do we like this?
Are you familiar with Kidsuke? It's a side project of UK producer Kidkanevil and Japanese producer Daisuke Tanabe, who together craft some of the most unique electronic music I've heard in the last few years. For their latest collaboration, the duo work their whimsical magic on "Butterfly," a dream pop track by Japanese artist and Flau Records standout Cuushe.
Big ups to Dummy for premiering "the world's prettiest and most gratifying sulk." Cuushe provides the eerie, delicate vocals, while Kidsuke reworks the production beautifully. The duo's signature clock-tick-water-drip style soothes me, making this "Butterfly" remix a welcomed addition to my after work/chillout/sleepy time playlists.
Also worth knowing: Cuushe's second full-length album, Butterfly Case, is set for a September release.
