Why do we like this?
Basque band Crystal Fighters just uploaded a stellar remix by LDR 4 Life of their recent single "Earth Island." Currently on tour throughout the US and Canada, Crystal Fighters are known for some raging live shows - unsurprising considering the depth of their talent.
Right off the bat, you can tell this remix is on a different playing field than Crystal Fighters' original vision, journeying to a frantic, recessed zone of the evening. With hushed vocals falling in the background, this producer capitalizes on a fresh, heavy beat to carry the track from a casual daytime jam to a grimy underbelly. Although it's almost unrecognizable from the original, it's delicious in it's own dirty electro-reggaeton feel.
