UK duo Crystal Bats burst onto the scene in 2014 with their massive release "Falling In Love" and looked set to be the next big thing. But just as quick as they arrived, Crystal Bats seemingly disappeared into music's black hole as the hype died down and life went on.
Almost three years since they debuted, Crystal Bats have returned ready to fulfil their potential with slick sophomore single "Anyone."
As finger clicks keep the beat alongside sparkling 80s synths, the soft mesmerizing harmonies of Will Vaughan and Will Jones float effortless over the tight nightclub production. The mid-song breakdown evolves into a Jimi Hendrix-inspired guitar freakout as the shimmering synths take control before fading into a haze of failed relationships and broken dreams.
There's a real retro feel to this one. The Japanese influenced disco artwork reflects the nostalgic Duran Duran-esque sounds, making "Anyone" one of the best releases of 2017 so far.
