The too cool for school (literally, since they just graduated from college) electronic duo Coyote Kisses just released a free single called "Black Cat." The song is a future bass banger with a tribal vibe that combines a number of influences, but brings us to one destination: The Electric Jungle of Funk. Just see for yourself in the corresponding music video, where we follow this "Black Cat" on its hunt through a digital, intergalactic rain forest (think Dire Straights meets Apacalypto meets Voltron):
The song was first featured on their recently released Summer Mix, which was presented by Jay Z's Life + Times & Armani. If you've been tuning in to the come-up, you'll notice some significant growth and evolution in their sound. Positive energy and funky beats are always flowing from the speakers of their world, and it's a beautiful thing that us listeners need to do nothing more than click a mouse and turn a dial clockwise to enjoy this glorious audio experience.
Can't finish this post without shouting out Banksy, their late Black Cat which this song is dedicated to. I myself am more of a dog person, but will say that a post-mortem song tribute from Coyote Kisses is a truly epic way to be remembered.
