Why do we like this?
There's not a lot of information floating around about this artist, but who needs a backstory when you're putting out music like this? What I could dig up is that Covers are a Melbourne-based band who've just started making music together, and their first single came out last week.

The more I listen to "The Automation," the more intrigued I am. The track builds off the driving percussion, with everything else falling in around it. From the showering cymbals, to the insistent organ-esque electronics, to the trill sampling, Covers have created a real soundscape of a track. There are similarities to a number of bands popping up throughout, but only in sections -- I really couldn't pinpoint exactly who they sound like (maybe you could help?).

With a debut track this solid, there's a bright future ahead. Despite the lack of profile, Covers aren't being cagey though, they just don't want people to dwell on the band --  just the sound they're creating.
