Why do we like this?

Australian turned Londoner Count Counsellor (real name Henry Counsell) sounds like a few of your favourite artists all rolled into one. The influences on his new EP -- & The Friday Friends -- are eclectic and palpable. “Friends” reminds me of LCD Soundsystem’s “Dance Yrself Clean,” then instead of James Murphy, Yannis from Foals starts singing in his distinctive falsetto, only for a big, feel-good chorus from The Killers to round it out.

In any case, I’m loving Count Counsellor. With the weather heating up in Sydney I’ll be playing this to get me excited for the warmer months.
