Premiering on Indie Shuffle today is this Cosmo's Midnight newie track featuring Norwegian superstar Lido.
What a standout way to kick off the new year! Cosmo's Midnight's EP Moments dropped last month and it's filled with interesting and cool featured artists.
The twins from Sydney know how to collaborate! They literally caught Lido while he was touring in Australia while they were working on their Moments EP. I'll let them tell the story for you..
"I think the first time Lido came to Australia last year we decided we should meet up to hang out and see if would could create any tunes. We had a little studio room near my house at the time (that was less than ideal) but we went in and worked on our remix for AlunaGeorge.
Once we had a solid idea for the remix out of the way we showed him the demo we had put together before he came. It was slightly tailored to his tastes and he was loving it and was like 'lemme hit this'. So just before we drove him to the airport we had another idea out, which featured some of his vocals that were recorded from the laptop speakers.
We worked on the track a little through correspondence on twitter DM's and it was really only right up to the deadline of the EP that we finished this track. Being so exciting and dynamic we really wanted to give it the perfect structure."
Lido meanwhile has solidified his megastar power having just been announced to play at the Coachella music festival later this year.
