Since his pretty eccentric solo debut that took over the Internet and all of our hearts way back in 2014, Corbin (formerly known as Spooky Black) has been pretty silent with only a couple of songs and one EP, with Bobby Raps, dropping in the last few years. Other than that - nothing. No interviews, no tours, no new videos.
Until couple of hours ago, when notification about "Icy Boy" popped up. There's an ineffable quality to Corbin's music that makes pretty much every song he releases an instant classic, even if it's the first time you're listening to it. "Icy Boy" is just like that too. Plus, it's pretty different from what we're used to hearing coming from him. It's less of a lo-fi R&B and more of an alternative 80's pop (let's all just pretend this kind of a genre exists).
All in all, this kind of change only makes us more excited about what's coming next, and this time, it seems Corbin is here to stay. Finally! At least until his, Shlohmo and D33J's fall tour is over.
