Common's latest album, Black America Forever, is another masterpiece of social and political lyricism and enthralling production that highlights how relevant old hip-hop heads still are.
The title track from the album is one my favorites and has come in for the remix treatment. BJ The Chicago Kid replaces Stevie Wonder while Gucci Mane and Pusha T adds verses that delve into police brutality and the continued quest for equal rights that the black community are striving for.
The jazzy production certainly suits Common's flow, with both Gucci and Pusha adapting well to Karriem Riggins soulful beats.
