We found some magic on this boring Wednesday.
Seth Haley, better known as the celestial Com Truise, has announced he is releasing a new album for the first time in six years. SIX YEARS. And it will be here soon. Iteration will be released on June 16 under Ghostly International.
A truly poetic press release shares the following:
[Iteration is] the most personal record Haley has written to date, as the story mirrors his personal struggles of moving across the country and overcoming creative burnout. But Iteration is ultimately a story of triumph and self-realization, told by the singular, emotionally resonant sound of a man and his machines.
I will mull over my words for this incredible artist another time-- it’s more important that you listen. But I have loved Haley’s work for many years, and still listen to “VHS Sex” on a weekly basis.
“Memory” is delicious, airy work of art, and folds perfectly into the narrative Com Truise has been crafting for more than 15 years.
Enjoy.
