Why do we like this?
Com Truise is releasing a new EP off Ghostly (!), and has put out a sexy, beautiful, fun, wonderful industrial-wave track called "Declination." (Note the title's elegant double meaning). The track features Joel Ford (of Airbird, and um, with-Lopatin fame). It's an artist marriage made in synth-pop heaven (or maybe space... zing!). The hybridization of their sounds is pretty obvious, and the supporting aesthetics meld together nicely. This may be Com Truise's most approachable track to date.
I would love to see a show with a string of these like-minded artists play back-to-back (someone, make it happen!). This song would certainly make a great opener. There's something almost groovy to it.
The new EP will be called Wave 1 and can be pre-ordered here (and will be released February 18).
