Why do we like this?

I've clearly been in a bit of a classic blues rock phase, because for the second day running the Song of the Day slot occupies that genre.

Colyer popped up in my SubmitHub feed the other day, and something about the track and melody managed to stick. They're not doing anything fancy here -- rather, sticking to the basics and pulling it off fantastically.

This track comes as Colyer's only release on SoundCloud so far, but it has amassed more than 100k plays since it was uploaded 7 months ago. Clearly I'm not the only one this is resonating with.
