Why do we like this?
Two of the members of the successful Queensland pop-band Operator Please, cousins Chris Holland and Tim Commandeur, have started a new project called Colour Coding. Now based in Sydney, the talented young gentlemen are putting the finishing touches on a live show and debut EP, which is due for release in early 2012.
Their first track, "Perfect," isn't far from synth-pop perfection. An uplifting and whistle-friendly anthem, this gives us just a taste of what's to come from Colour Coding. The glittery synth lines and sharp percussion are reminiscent of other young, flourishing Australian duos, Tim and Jean and YesYou. Positive vibes are always welcome, and "Perfect" has them in spades -- you can definitely put this one on repeat.
Colour Coding are one to watch in 2012, and if their first offering is anything to go by, big things await.
