The Cold War Kids' sound has always been dripping with Americana and nostalgia in a new age of sonic entertainment. "What You Say" isn't really all that different in design, but boy! does it hit up the revs on the meter.

Motivational narratives are always welcome in the alt-rock genre and with a noise that slams and develops as it grows through the minutes of its existence, "What You Say" takes you for a high octane drive through American romance boosted with a v12 engine and a need to drive off the roof of a building.

It's a high octane pumping track that is just as wild as it enjoyable.
