Why do we like this?

When we're talking about all-time favorite bands, Cold War Kids is definitely up there for me, which is surprising given I'm not the biggest alt-rock fan out there.

Why you ask? Well it's more about the emotional connection I find with their song-writing. Having said that I can admit I don't fall in love with everything they release ("Love Is Mystical" is a good example here), but "Can We Hang On" really hits its impassioned stride from the very beginning.

It's expressive rock at its best and as always the poignant build-up of this single is absolutely inspiring and riveting at times. I think for you Cold War Kids I might just be able to hang on for your next album L.A. Divine.
