Why do we like this?
Meet Cocktails, a self-described slop-pop quartet that calls San Francisco home. With their self-titled debut EP set to drop in early February on Father/Daughter Records, I'm doubly excited to support the group.
A song like "No Blondes (In California)" normally wouldn't appeal to me, but at the 1:09 minute mark, it all clicks. My fingers are tapping, my heading is bobbing, and the lady next to me on the Caltrain ride home is smiling politely.
I have to give a shout out to Lauren. She used to roll with Rio Rio. Now she's doing big things with Cocktails"” like being featured on SPIN. Here's hoping this post helps a few more music lovers discover Cocktails.
