Why do we like this?
It's been three years, three whole years, since we have heard anything from Australian favorites Cloud Control, but I can safely say the wait was worth it. The Sydney quartet has just dropped their latest single, "Dojo Rising," which has done nothing but wholeheartedly fed my soul for the past two hours. I honestly feel like I'm floating on a cloud.
So, what on Earth is so special about this single? Well, I think it's the fact that Cloud Control is heading in a more pop-driven direction while still incorporating their brilliant lo-fi psychedelic style. Even though the lyrics may seem particularly dark on first listen, the entire song is sure to raise your spirits for the day.
"Dojo Rising" is the first single from their highly anticipated second album Dream Cave, which will be out on the August 19, 2013 in Australia.
