Why do we like this?

There is perhaps no genre of music more ideally suited to soundtracking summertime than Balearic music. Originating in Ibiza, the style is a mishmash of genres and styles, combining ideas as different as acid house, krautrock, and psychedelia. 

Unsurprisingly, there's a strong Spanish influence to Balearic music too, and that shines through on the warm guitars of Closed Paradise's "Horizon." It's the archetypal Balearic jam: warm, sunny, and perfect for listening to on the beach in Ibiza.
