Brisbane, Australia's tranquil beatsmith cln is back with his latest single "Mist" in conjunction with the announcement of his North American Tour. An ethereal follow up to the glistening "Owls," it contains the same kind of arpeggiated electronic melodies and gentle, phasing notes we've seen from the producer in the past.
What really impresses me about cln is his ability to imbue an oversaturated genre with truly unique elements. This may be due to his artistic control; he records, mixes, and masters everything himself, even opting to craft his own synths instead of using presets.
The mellow "Mist" is meant to evoke the feeling of waking up in the silence and calm of nature. It drifts in like the haze of a crisp morning and is perfect for driving around at dusk or relaxing at home.
