Why do we like this?
Even though Thom Green (drummer for Alt-J) just released this remix of Clean Bandit's "Dust Clears" about half an hour ago, I've already listened to it at least 5 times.
Why, you might ask? Well, the original song was one of my favorites to emerge this year, with a sound best described as following in the R&B-tinged electronic channel we've seen gain major traction these days. This version, however, puts such a chilled out and ambient vibe on this song that I just can't help myself from melting into the chair.
The song comes as part of an EP that includes renditions from Russ Chimes and Jack Savidge (of Friendly Fires), an exciting mix of exciting up-and-comers in the remix game. You can grab your copy here (available July 28th).
