Fan favorite DJ, producer, and label boss, Claude VonStroke, is celebrating 15 years of his Dirtybird label with the release of his first album in seven years. No doubt he has been busy as the head of one of the more unique dance music labels out there.
This track stood out, not only among the songs on the album, but as a unique blend of electronic elements that defies what most other house and techno producers are doing right now. VonStroke is definitely not most producers.
Crashing waves and a synth lead open the track softly, with the synth intensifying gradually alongside a swelling drum roll. A deep, punchy bass finally kicks in as this track takes on a life of its own. The "arpline" is layered and constantly evolving, giving this track an organic feeling. VonStroke's skill with sound design is a huge reason this song sounds so unique, and added ambient effects help this track achieve that otherworldly sensation.
