Disclaimer: I listed Jamie XX in the 'Sounds like' because I'm getting a serious "Gosh" vibe from this one. We might actually be looking at musical cousins.
While writing the tweet, it immediately hit me as to how I was going to avoid talking about the song. Cue the phenomena when trying to get across a point in 140 characters and a noticeable tension builds.
If you had to give a lecture in just a tweet, think about that kind of pressure -- or, if you were giving a eulogy with that same length. Now think about my excitement hearing a song like this and wanting to give people who see it a taste of how worth it it is to listen to.
I think the only way to get people to really pay attention these days is to use sensationalism, akin to what our current media utilizes. My tweet should probably read, "DUDE JERKS OFF PARK CATS AND THEY LOVE IT."
But, I just wouldn't do that. A) because it's inappropriate, and B) because I don't want to manipulate peoples' destiny.
