Why do we like this?
It's been a little more than a week since Clams Casino released his third and (allegedly) final installment to his epic Instrumental Mixtape series. While we can only hope that this isn't his last foray into the world of instrumental mixtapes, if this is his last he's going off with a bang.
Featuring beats from his appearance on GTA V, his collaborations with MF Doom and Mikky Ekko, as well as a few tracks produced for the likes of Mac Miller and A$AP Rocky, Instrumental Mixtape 3 is a treasure trove of instrumental hip-hop just waiting to be listened to via a pair of quality headphones.
One of the highlights is a previously unreleased track called "Haunt." It features a super dark witch house vibe laid out care of some ringing piano bass, some grainy analog effects sounding like chainsaws, and otherworldly sampled vocals floating around through the space that could only be Clams Casino's head.
