Why do we like this?

Sometimes after a long day all I want to do is sink into some downtempo electronica, and this track has been a go-to over the past few days.

City Beautiful is a mysterious new project out of Sydney, inspired by the producer's recent travels to Japan. "Apogee" is the first of three singles from a "set" of releases due out in the coming months, all with ties to the land of the rising sun. It's exactly what I want from my downtempo electronic music, with an abundance of warm, lush synths supplemented with touches of guitar and percussion to keep things interesting. 

This is gorgeous, relaxing musical escapism at its best, and I cannot wait to hear its follow-up.
