Why do we like this?
This track's got a pretty interesting background, a large part of which compelled me to bring it to you as today's Song of the Day.
You see, Childish Gambino recently released a new EP by the title KAUAI, and on it was an instrumental track by the name "3005 – Beach Picnic Version." Now, most listeners would have taken that at face value, but by some stroke of luck, a sleuthing internet detective noticed a hidden vocal track on Gambino's website.
It didn't take him long to realize that the two tracks overlapped, and with a bit of help from the community he was able to lay them on top of one another.
The result? A pretty rad track, confirmed by Donald Glover himself to be legit.
