Childish Gambino got that swagger. That's why we're bringing back an old single from 2010, "Do Ya Like" by the actor, writer, and comedian Donald Glover.
Back in March, we presented his new single "Freaks and Geeks," but as my friend Kyle Murphy pointed out, it's obvious that this kid has talent that should be constantly praised. I mean, how do you expect to truly appreciate what he means about his "sample of Adele so hot that it got hood niggas blowin up [his] cell" (what does this mean by the way?) unless you've listened to "Do Ya Like" on repeat so much that it slowly begins to drive your roommates insane? Appreciating his addicting voice over the lush "Melt My Heart to Stone" sample is literally like "listening to his mouth on vacation"... so join in on the fun already!
Glover, best known for his role as Troy Barnes on Community, has got a lot on his plate. In his own words, he "can't do one thing -- [he's] just too good," so at 27 he's busy juggling sketch comedy, acting and producing music.
As for the single, set aside some time to enjoy the cocky lyrics and playful flow. Hopefully you'll learn to annoy your roommates as well as I do by blasting this till hell freezes over (sorry Amanda, Anthony and Lauren).
