Why do we like this?
Talk about a long hiatus! We haven't heard from Chiddy Bang for almost two years (if you don't cound Chiddy's collaboration with Hoodie Allen on "Fame Is For Assholes," that is).
The release of "Breathe" comes in light of an upcoming mixtape titled Baggage Claim. The one part that has me really bummed is that this song was produced by Yuri Beat$, and not Xaphoon Jones. No disrespect to Yuri (his production is top knotch) -- it's just that Xaph and Chiddy kind of go together like eggs and ham.
Sadly, a couple months ago the duo confirmed that they were parting ways so that Xaphoon could focus on his own production career. Given his recent contribution to the amazing Ellie Goulding cover of "Tessellate," I'm totally on board with that decision.
Expect to hear more off Baggage Claim in coming months!
