I've been in a particularly reflective mood this week—just the time to indulge in some excellent acoustic work from singer-songwriters. I've discovered some exciting new stuff I can't wait to share with you.
Every time I write about singer-songwriters I think the same thing—I need to write more about singer-songwriters. I genuinely adore them for their raw talent, their creative process and what they produce. They're such a welcome change from the heavy electronic sound I typically wrap my ears around.
Chase McBride made this track, and the entire album it comes from, next to a bay in Northern California. Lovely. I adore the guitar work in it and Chase's cosy and expressive vocals.
The video that accompanies this track captures the Northern California bay area vibe wonderfully. And if you're into this I highly recommend giving the entire album, Cold Water, a spin.
