Why do we like this?

Charli XCX is gearing up to release a her sophomore album, which naturally means we get to hear a bunch of new material.

Today comes one titled "Sucker," a pop-driven single co-written by Patrik Berger (who also works with Robyn / Icona Pop). With an underlying guitar track that reminds me a bit of something out of Gwen Stefani's camp, the 22-year-old British singer proves she's a pop star with reckoning with.

Sucker will be available December 16th via Neon Gold / Atlantic Records.
