Why do we like this?

I'll have to agree with my friend and fellow blogger Monica when she professes her jealousy of Charli XCX. She's a stylin lady. She's got an incredible voice. And she's definitely not hard on the eyes. I'll glaze over the fact that this British dove has a spectacular name, and get to the point: her newest mixtape is awesome.

Chirping over Barcelona's Sinjin Hawke's beat, "Dance 4 You" begins with a dreamy dialogue: "If you were going to sing something to a girl to try to seduce her, what would you say?" (or something along those lines... amateur transcriber here!). Charli's vocals perfectly compliment the bubbly, slow beat, fusing together for my favorite track on the mixtape. Apparently this track was inspired by Quentin Tarantino's Planet Terror, and I'm sure we can all get behind some zombie horror music.
