Why do we like this?

Charles Murdoch is one of my favorite Australian producers. Time and time again he not only releases some of the best and most unique understated electronic music around, but every release sounds really different to the last one.

"Frogs" is his brand new release, featuring vocals from both Perth's Ta-ku and  fellow Brisbane artist Wafia, as well as a verse from Hak, an NYC-based MC. A diverse group, that's for sure -- but together, it couldn't sound better.

What a stunning blend of understated electronic beats with hip-hop. There's nothing I can fault this track on. It's varied, it's interesting, it's seductive on lyrical, rhythmic, and musical levels.

"Frogs" is the second track we've heard from Murdoch's long-awaited debut album. We don't have a release date yet, but let's just cross our fingers that we don't have to wait too much longer.
