It's been a huge year for Chance The Rapper, with worldwide acclaim surrounding his third mixtape, Coloring Book, but he's not done yet.
To celebrate the holiday season Chance has teamed with R&B crooner Jeremih for the Christmas themed mixtape, Merry Christmas Lil' Mama.
The nine track effort features cheery Christmas titles such as "Joy," "I'm Your Santa" and "Chi Town Christmas," with Chance's always enjoyable and identifiable flow pairing wonderfully with Jeremih's soothing vocals. Even comedian Hannibal Buress pops up on opener "All The Way," asking for his vocals to sound like Traiv$ Scott.
While every track is tremendous, "Stranger At The Table" is my pick of the bunch. The hook takes its cues from Michael Jackson's "I Want You Back," with Jeremih singing the melody with altered lyrics about pining for an ex. Chance follows suit, comparing his ex to a Christmas tree ornament and reminding her she's still his baby.
Christmas never sounded better.
