The best music out there is music that can sweep you away, taking you to a whole new place you couldn't even have imagined -- not unlike reading a really good book. Thankfully there are artists like Celadon City looking to take you there.
On his track "January," the Edmond, Oklahoma native is really pulling at the heartstrings, as sweeping synthesizers set the vibe of the journey and melodic piano and simple vocal samples slowly flesh out a track filled with plenty of soundscape and ambient dreaminess. This gives "January" plenty of time to breathe and grow on you until you are completely surrounded by a warmth of noises that are familiar and nostalgic.
It all kind of makes me feel like a character from a Roald Dahl book, swept away from the mundane of my life into a whole new world of fantasy.
