Catalina's "Ceremony" has a warm, comforting feeling to it, like drinking a glass of hot cocoa with a heap of whipped cream on a cold winter evening. The reverb on the vocals meets the atmospheric tension of the production, and leans on the spacial aspects of the percussion.
The Los Angeles based duo met in their freshman year of college, and put together some of their early demos in the dorm room of one of their members. With two tracks out in the last half of a year, Catalina sits above one hundred followers on SoundCloud, but does not let the projects youthful aspects characterize their musical prowess.
