Why do we like this?
Ben, Sam, and Matt are three school kids from Melbourne who make sunny, synth-laden dance music under the moniker Casper Zazz. Citing influences like Flume, Flying Lotus, and Bondax, their debut single "Make Believe," featuring Josh Blashki, is certainly one of the best tracks I've heard all year.
"Make Believe" is a dreamy, downtempo track about the joy of new love. It is a wash of subtle synths, enthusiastic claps, and the type of blippy vocals that seem to be all the rage at the moment. Josh Blashki's beautiful yet ephemeral vocals complement the music perfectly, seemingly popping up in all the right places.
Having just released their first EP Moons, these future blogosphere darlings have an incredibly bright future ahead. Stay tuned.
