More fantastic Australian music for you to wrap your ears around friends! This time we have the debut single from a fresh Melbourne act Casper Cult, who've been collaborating for just over a year.
The duo (Dylan Hill and Alisha Linsdell) have recently put the finishing touches on a record, with "Industrial Love" the first cut. It's an interesting debut, delicate and dreamy, but still incredibly engaging given its makeup. The guys have created this overall feel in the way the track has been recorded, using a DIY system of cheap synths, drum machines, and iPhone apps in bedrooms and wardrobes. I really enjoy when acts use vocals as part of the instrumentation, and the guys have done this to great effect on this one.
Casper Cult's EP is due out on Dry Cry Records later this year.
